Hockey Back on ESPN…ESPN+ That Is

For a long time, the place to see NHL hockey on cable TV was ESPN. That all changed in the early 2000s, when what was then the Outdoor Network, then Versus, and eventually NBC Sports Network took over the NHL broadcasting rights. But hockey is partially back on its longtime home, now available on the ESPN+ app, which is available to anyone with an internet connection.

And here’s the schedule of all nationally available games for the next week:

Thursday, October 31
TIME ET GAME TV
8:00p Flames-Predators NHLN
10:00p Canadiens-Golden Knights ESPN+
Tuesday, November 5
TIME ET GAME TV
7:30p Bruins-Canadiens NBCSN

Wednesday, November 6
TIME ET GAME TV
8:00p Red Wings-Rangers NBCSN
Friday, November 8
TIME ET GAME TV
2:00p Lightning-Sabres
NHL Global Series: Stockholm
NBCSN

Of special interest is the Global Series game from Stockholm, airing at 2pm Eastern between the Lighting and Sabres next Friday. Fans from Tampa and Upstate New York should plan on playing hooky or at least leaving work early for some hockey.

Enjoy the games!
